Undergraduate Success
in Science

Northwestern University is proud to offer the Undergraduate Success in Science Program for undergraduate students who wish to acquire "hands-on" experience conducting scientific research during the summer and throughout the academic year. Through the program, current Northwestern undergraduates have the opportunity to pursue independent research projects in the labs of faculty researchers during the academic year.

A six-week summer workshop for incoming Northwestern freshmen is one exciting component of the USS Program. Designed to introduce incoming freshman to a research laboratory early in their academic careers, the summer workshop promotes scientific and team-building skills, and prepares students for the rigors of Northwestern's general chemistry program.
