Tobin Marks and Sam Stupp Named Materials Research Society Fellows
Tobin J. Marks, Vladimir N. Ipatieff Research Professor of Chemistry in the
Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering in the
McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science at Northwestern University and Sam Stupp,Director of the Institute for BioNanotechnology in Medicine, and Board of Trustees Professor of Materials Science, Chemistry, and Medicine
, have been selected by the Materials Research Society for the distinguished title of MRS Fellow. The title of MRS Fellow honors MRS members who are notable for their distinguished research accomplishments and their outstanding contributions to the advancement of materials research, world-wide. The maximum number of new Fellow appointments each year is limited to 0.2% of the current MRS membership. The distinction is thus highly selective.The class of Fellows will be recognized at the 2009 MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco, and also announced on the MRS website and in the
MRS Bulletin. Congratulations Tobin and Sam!
