Awards

One measure of the quality of our faculty is the large number of competitive awards and honors they have earned. Seven are members of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1998, Professor John A. Pople was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Numerous other awards and positions are detailed in the faculty's biographical data. Northwestern consistently ranks among the top 10 U.S. institutions for Chemistry publication citations.
